No Oranje in Team of the Year

Dutch football players didn’t impress in the last season. None of our countrymen were picked in the FIFpro team of the year. 57.000 players chose Kaka as the best player of the world.

Edwin van der Sar, Clarence Seedorf and Ruud van Nistelrooy made it till the last 55 players. but none got the prestigious spot in the 2006/07 team.

Kaká iis the scuccessor to Ronaldinho, who did make in the Best Team. Barcelona is represented by four players.

Goal: Gianluigi Buffon (Italië/Juventus)

Defense: Alessandro Nesta (Italië/AC Milan), Fabio Cannavaro (Italië/Real Madrid), John Terry (Engeland/Chelsea) and Carles Puyol (Spanje/Barcelona)

Midfield : Steven Gerrard (Engeland/Liverpool), Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal/Manchester United) and Kaká (Brazilië/AC Milan)

Attack : Lionel Messi (Argentinië/Barcelona), Didier Drogba (Ivoorkust/Chelsea) and Ronaldhino (Brazilië/Barcelona)

Denny Landzaat reacted disappointed. Johan Cruyff was upset because Drogba is a very very mediocre and weak player. Marco van Basten said: ha, this team plays 4-3-3 and Dick Advocaat refused to coach this team: much too offensive! I’d take Messi out and maybe put Paul Bosvelt in as extra lock on the door.

instead of this crying little girl and drogba (who is a fantastic player) clarence and ruud should have been in the starting eleven – clarence was the best midfielder in the cl,ruud won la ligua for real madrid. as a barca fan i say we are overrepresented – only messi should be there. ronnie and puyol didn’t show too much this year. if i should pick another barca player it would be iniesta.

another observation: cannavaro should be replaced by sergio ramos. this guy is amazing. and only 21 or 22…

If Ruud is not chosen, what about Totti?? He is the european golden boot last season.

Cannavaro wasnt especially good last season. Neither was Terry.
And Gerrard – wtf?

And no, Clarence shouldnt be in the team. Yes, he was chosen “best CL midfielder”, but the same guys who gave Seedorf that title also choose Paolo Maldini as the best defender, which is so very wrong. He was far, far from best.

And Lerkot, your definitely right about Terry and Gerrard not being very good last season. Wasn’t Terry injured for like half of it??

And I agree with you Ferenc about Ruud – Drogba is a very good player but Ruud should be starting.

think Ruud should be on the list altough he really got going in the second half of the season… camt think of any others..Lerkot is right about Clarence…why was he actually picked best CL midfielder and by whom??

I believe the CL team of the year was chosen by the different CL team coaches… I could be wrong though…

hay guys i am back,
there is no wonder in the world team slection
only cannavaro and drogba are doughful apart from evry thing is fine.
this time ia m little bit happy in front line of our neds
only one waste tat is dirk quite
other five are good enough to play for dutch
ruud,vanpersie,roban,babel,hantlaar
but mid feild why he selected vaart,zneijder,and ze dorf never we should not include these three at a same time among thsese 3 two is enough
my choice zedorf ,vaart
diffence poor
we are having two full defenders(ooiger and heitinga)(belivable)
two half diffenders(mathjenson and bula)
rest of them ultimate waste.
i like urby i am not satisfied with his physic
