New!!! Only here… Oranje – Thailand per minute

June 6th, 2007 | By: Jan | 22 Comments »

Well, only here is a lie, really… But so what?

Enjoy:

0′ – Kick off

3′ – GOAL Oranje: Sneijder assist on Raf van der Vaart who scores a controlled goal with left

8′ – Sneijder aims a tad too high

9′ – Opportunity Thailand, shot is blocked

11′- Another chance Thailand, save by Timmer

12′ – And again Thailand, shot misses the goal

15″ – high paced game, attractive football from side to side

19′ – Van der Vaart just misses the goal after a brilliant Sneijder pass

21″ – bad shot Slory; Kuyt is just too late to finish off

23′ – Shot from Kuyt, from 25 meters. Goalie saves

25″ – Van der Vaart shoots at goal, goalie saves again

27″ – Sublime shot Sneijder from 30 meters, goalie blocks

33′ – Inswinger free-kick van der Vaart, Kuyt header is blocked

35′ – Kuyt tricks his opponent but shot is too weak

36′ – Kuyt faces the goalie alone in the box but can’t handle the ball

37′ – Van der Vaart has a little through pass for Kuyt, Kuyt misses

42″ – GOAL Oranje: 2-0 Heitinga header after a Sneijder corner kick

45″ half time break

Oranje plays a good first half, with Sneijder and Van der Vaart (yes yes, in one team, yes yes) as best men on the pitch and a very disappointing Dirk Kuyt….

46′ – Vennegoor and Jaliens in the team for Slory and Melchiot

56′- GOAL Oranje 3-0 Vennegoor finishes a beautiful attacking play by Sneijder and van der Vaart

61′ – Castelen replaces Kuyt, De Jong for Landzaat

63′ – Corner kick Sneijder, Heitinga heads in, ball cleared from the line

64′ – First Thailand attack in second half. Long distance strike, far off target

66′ – GOAL Thailand!! 3-1 Awesome free-kick Sripan in the upper corner

73 ‘ – Yellow card Demy de Zeeuw

74′ – Huntelaar voor De Zeeuw, Engelaar for De Cler

76′ – huge chance for Thailand, Timmer stops

78′ – Assist Vennegoor to Huntelaar but the Hunter misses

79′ – Cross Castelen, Huntelaar aims at the goalie

85′ – Distance strike Sneijder, keeper stops

90′ – Full time

Oranje played a reasonable match. First half good, second half mediocre.

so jan
your mins by mins report covers what happened.
I was at the stedium as I said.
alot of dutches therearound.
Andmany Thais are also wearing Orange too.
but team Netherlands wear white.
Weather is hot here and guest team take very good care from induries, so we can judge Orange playedasit’s70%
Thais are worked very hard and rewarded from a very beautiful freekick to have a reasonable scoe line1-3. They could have troubled us more if they are not that tiny compared to Koreans.

turning to out team,
Starting line up was,
Slory, Kuyt, Vaart
Sneijder, De zueew, Lanzaart
De cler, Mathism, Heitinga and Malchiot.
Two center backs were perfact and de cler was very helpful in attacks. medoica Malchoit was replaced by better perfromed Jalians.
De Zueew never made mistake and distribute well for counter attacks. My best newbie!
Lanzaart can’t see very much, very normal, I came to know why Basten stick to him only when he was replaced by worsen DeJong.
No future for Slory, proved.
Vaart ruled the left and Schnijder+ de Cler dominate the right. Who can say Vaart and Sneijder can not play together?
Schnider’s long passes were nothing less than Beckham!
Kuyt was not brillant at the left wing too. Hunter showed up much more dangerous shots than he did. Giant Engelaar was so difficult for Thai Bumpees. Another interesting newface!
Only shame was Basten’s goal thurst was never fed a good glass of water. He put 3strikers after Thais reduced thier deposit and failed to add up any.
De Zueew, Engelaar did well as new faces, de Cler more threatening than ever and Vaart and Sneijder shared their teritorries fairly.
Not abad performance!
Game has over Orange shirts are still spreading nearby beerbars aroundthestedium.

Ok, so we win again. Tho not spectacular, it really seems like it was a pretty easy Asian trip. Vaart seems to be really on his game right now. Sept can’t come soon enough. Here is my dream lineup for those games:

Melchiot – Heit – Boula – Gio

De Zee—–Sneijder—–Davids:-)

Vaart——RvNistel—–RvPersie

or you can have RvN and RvP as the two lone strikers up front with Vaart sitting behind them as an attacking Mid, tho he seemed to play pretty well on the wing in these last two games.

Robben(sub), sorry Kuyt(he’s too frustrating to watch – so much energy expended, not enough results)

thanx sphinx, nice report…sure looked very hot indeed… good to hear about deZeeuw, think hell be a great one for us on midfield in the near future…good to hear also that deCler performed…have always been a deCler ‘fan’..think both Landzaat and deJong havent got what it takes to perform at international level, good that vanBasten has had the change to see that for himself..maybe hell learn…

were you standing with the other Oranje fans?? Was it a bit of a party??

Would love to see our team play live, ill have to wait until after summer when qualifications return… thanx again sphinx

heres mine:

Sar

deCler, Boula, Heitinga, Bouma

Schaars, vdVaart, deZeeuw, Robben

vanPersie

vanNistelrooy

VanPersie as shadow striker, Robben as midfieldplayer, Heitinga as ‘ausputzer’(gotta love those german words, like Schwalbe and Anslusstreffer)
we could also lose Robben and put Sneijder next to vdVaart

(and in a dreamworld i would change Schaars with vanBommel)

true comment about Kuyt…isnt he more a midfieldplayer than anything else?

That’s nice too goose. In a perfect world, I would also like to see RvP as a shadow striker. But since Marco is inflexible about the 4-3-3, I had to put Persie on the wing.

Goose,
Orange fans were scattered at the start. Tics have seat numbers. After 10-15 mins groups gathered up.
I was with some fans fly form China at the pitch. Some also come from Malaysia.
Thai travel agents are smart enough to take this opportunity to invite Fam: tours. So many came directly from Nitherlands.
We talked alot about Netherlans team and every supporter have same feeling, we didn’t played enough. Fans expected more goals!
They also cheered at Thai team too. Many said Orange faced more difficult with Thailand than in Korea.
We celebrated a small beer party after match ofcourse. That’s really fun!
I like
Sar

deCler, Boula, Heitinga, Bouma

Schaars, , deZeeuw,
vdVaart Seedorf, vanPersie

vanNistelrooy

ofcourse, forgot about Seedorf in my line-up..stupid.. ill change Schaars for Seedorf..
Steph.; youre ofcousre right..vanBasten will hang on to the 4-3-3 system…i would even go so far as to say that he is willing to try mediocre players at the wings if nescessary and let better players out goes it doenst suit the system..i never had much problems on the left wing (is it because lefties are more artistic and theirfor better wingers?) but on the right side we havent had a decent one since vantSchip (only when Overmars changed from left to right)..he has tried Kuyt, Babel, Robben, etc.etc….he even went so far as to ask Kalou to become a dutch national and garuenteed(?) he would have a starting position..Cruijff even went to say that it was cause of the dutch government, who didnt granted Kalou his passport, that Oranje played so bad at the WC!!

MR: dont you think that your midfield had too little defencive qualities…very attacking midfield you have

Igor, that would work… I’d still love to see Robben (in form) in the squad. He’s like mercury, if it clicks it’s as if there is no opponent at all…

I wonder if you’d put 12 players on the pitch how long it would take for the ref/opponent/fans to actually see that :-) .

JC once said he seriously thought about starting with 10 instead of 11 at Barca to keep everyone on their toes :-) .

It would be fun if the KNVB would sack MvB and put Goose in charge…

Jack van Gelder: Goose, why did you leave Ruud van Nistelrooy and Clarence Seedorf out of the squad???

Goose: Huh? Oh….SHIT… Clarence and Ruud…. Oh…fukc…forgot :-)

Sorry Goose, couldn’t resist… Now Ismael is gone (where the hell is he??) you are a nice target….. Hahahahahahaha….

Thank you Goose. You are my friend.
You no worries ok? I was away a while and now you mis me. Is good :-) .

I think 4-4-2 is good, with

Sar

Melchiot – Boulah – Landzaat – De Cler

Vaart Sneijder De Zeeuw Robben

Ruud Robin

Clarence on Bench I am sorry.

I think Kuyt not in selection. Huntelaar and Vennegoor on bench. And Bouma on bench. Gio out. I have good feelings for this
