Matchday 6: What did we learn?
Football is a game with 22 players and a ball and after 90 minutes….the Germans lose!!
Don Leo is devastated. Here is his press conference: “Sigh…oof…oooh….sigh…. 80% of what happened in the dressing room will never come out!”
Marco van Basten: “I can’t say I am impressed with the Germans.”
Austria can score.
The Orange Angel isn’t Dutch!!
But she is gorgeous.
So who cares?
Croatia lives up to their reputation.
Cruyff and Van Basten are on speaking terms again. JC will even visit the Dutch camp.
The Orange players’ wives will dress in….pink come Friday… (?)
Orlando Engelaar’s wife is not in Switzerland. She is studying at home. “When they reach the semis, I’ll come.”
No wonder Orlando plays his heart out. He likes to see his wife.
Marco van Basten considers to send all the players’ wives home!
Prins Willem Alexander requests to leave Sylvie Meis in Switzerland, please!!!
Don Leo blames the referee: this was theft!
Ryan Babel is back in the Dutch camp. Like Cannavaro, he’ll stay on as a mascot.
Juventus, Man United, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Chelsea want to sign Orlando Engelaar

Wasn’t the German coach the ONLY one who didn’t praise Oranje’s style of play against Italy? hmmm “What Now My Loew?
I woke up with a smile on my face when I saw the result, especially when you think we thrashed the Croats the same way we did Italy.
This has to be a Low point for the Germans - The Austrians will try VERY hard to win…very interesting !

Is this true that all those clubs want to sign Engelaar? Because I think that Engelaar has moved to Scalke 04 offically.

just goes to show how luckey these germans ahve been with the draw…had there been 2 decent sides in that group the germans prob. would not qualify..but against Austria; no worries, guess its over after that once they meet our friends from portugal with sissy-boy Ronaldo

I was really happy to see the Germans lose, but I have to keep myself from rubbing it in to my German friends. I kind of had mixed feelings though because I thought that the Croatians were pretty bad and simulating/play acting/diving for the last 30 minutes of the game that I saw, and the last game that I saw too. Anyone else think the same?

Not really… I like the Croatians. They come across much more sympathetic than our eatern neighbors.

I should correct myself, I meant pretty bad *at* simulating/play acting/diving. They played well on the whole, just thought there was an undercurrent of dirty play.
