Matchday 12: what have we learned?

June 18th, 2008 | By: Jan | 11 Comments »

Watching football, even at 4.30 am, is fun!

Henke Larsson will be able to head balls on the cross bar when he is 73 years old.

Frank Rijkaard is mentioned in the Portuguese Press as Scolari’s successor…

Russia still plays in all-red kits.

Scolari’s biggest strength by the way, is his communications with the players. He is moving to Chelsea after the EC. And doesn’t speak a word of English…. Huh?

Italy goalie Buffon: The best of the world? That is Edwin van der Sar! Without a doubt…

Joachim Low: I am not impressed with that Van der Sar!

Boulahrouz has left the Orange Camp. His wife is almost in labour and Van Basten allowed him time off.
What kind of so-called professional would bed his wife exactly 9 months before the EC??? So unprofessional…

Joachim Low: I am actually pretty impressed with Boulahrouz wife…

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is lethal, even with one crooked knee.

Christian Chivu: we were just tired.

Poll: European women feel neglected: a survey showed that men are less interested in sex during the EC.

Russia’s games should be watched from the perspective of the spider camera right above the pitch.

Joachim Low is suspended for the quarter finals. He won’t be impressed, though…

Turkish heart patients are told by their doctors not to watch the EC anymore.

Are the linesmen at this EC Turkish heart patients???

Russia may not impress Low, they did impress me!

Sylvie Meis: I am not impressed with those polls and surveys.

By the way, where’s our Angel?

Greece: With a bit of luck, we could have won this tournament!

We know…

Mike is back :-)

I really feel for Boula. One minute life doesn’t get better - playing some of the best football on the world stage, about to gain a child and then something so unexpected. It’s a loss for him and a loss for Holland.
