Match Preview: NED vs. S&M

There is a good preview on the main site for tomorrow’s opening Dutch match. I’m so excited I could piss glue. If you look at the predicted results by the World Cup Blog staffers you’ll see its pretty much split down the middle. Two Dutch wins, two losses and a tie by Bob.

Tomorrow it begins….

Guys, I was in Turkey and I watched the Argentina Vs. Cote D’voir game on the big screens, I got really worried after the game. First the Africans r a real good team and the result of the game was not fair. This means Orange have to do their best to win that game. And regarding Argentina, they’re fast and they can get a goal from any simple chance. They scored 2 goals from 8 shots on the goal… this is scary to me. This means we have to be really careful playing against this team, especially knowing that our defense isn’t the same one that used to have stam and Deboer in it.
Anyways, wish our boys the best luck in todays game, I can hardly wait :)

Yep i agree with you goose.

This is gonna be our most likely line-up. Hope we score and lead the game from the beginning.
If were able to do so, Im sure Van Basten will have the courage to throw in vdv in the second half so that hed restore some fitness before the game gaainst Ivory coast..

Do you guys realize what a physical group weve been thrown in ?? Serbia are very defensive and physical; Ivory are African giants fast and also extremely physical; Argentina are just plain nasty.
God.. were so fragile :) Hope we hold the beating throughout, let alone their amazing playing.

think its importent against the serbs to take a lead in the game. the problem with these balkan teams is their mental state, if you get a goal ahead they almost never put on a fight, they let their heads hang low if its not going according to their plans.. we need to make the first goal, think its crusial!!

also have to take the heat into account, cant play full speed all the time..

Rami, you’re right, we are fragile but we’ll see…. think Ivory played pretty naiv(?) in defence though their tempo is stunning, think Arg. are just a mor e mature team then ours but we’ll always have a change..

3,5 hours!!!!!!
anyone feeling nervous, just finished my 3 beer at 11.30,

prediction: 2-1 victory, all second half goals

greetz youall

My prediction: an unleashed Dutch side crushes the Serbs (and Montenegrians (?)) with 5-0. Could be more, but MvB wants his players to stay in one piece. 2 x v Persie, 2 x Van the Man, and 1 x Sneijder…
