He does seem to get injured with a greater frequency, but I suspect most of the top players will get the strain, the pull, the tear over the course of the calendar. They play too many games, and the seasons are never ending. I think VD Vaart's quote about having had only 14 days off in the offseason was telling. Few (if any players) can handle that.
