Little Tid-bits
Here are some little news bits that I got from the official site.
Kew Jaliens still has the possibility of being fit for the World Cup after injuring his knee in the warm up match against the U-21s yesterday.
“The kwetsuur of Jaliens looked forward there in first authority serious. With a bloody knee, became the defender by two man of the field lifted. After investigation became however clear that Jaliens the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS possibly would be able to get.”
Romeo Castelen also suffered a slight foot injury and was unable to train today.
“Both Orange-internationals had to go let today the training at self past. Feyenoorder Castelen went up thursday evening in Katwijk a light voetblessure[foot injury]. ”
Lastly KNVB.nl has announced that the 23 man squad will be announced on Sunday at 11.30am (I assume in the morning.) That means that it will be announced 5.30am EST (my time) Sunday morning.
Why bother going to the official site though? Make sure you check out THIS site since I’ll be up letting everyone know as soon as the squad is announced. You can be guaranteed quality coverage AND at the same time you’ll get a healthy dose of wit, humour and plenty of speculation. Can any other site boast that? I think not.
Am I the only one that really liked those black/white kits that the Dutch wore against England last year? I thought they were really sharp lookin.

Hey, no worries, Mike. No way, we’ll go anywhere else..
Yeah, those black and white kits were really cool. They were part of the anti-racist campaign, I think.
Hye, do you have any new predictions on the striker situation?

Ya those kits were for the “Stand Up, Speak Out” campaign.
Daniel I haven’t a bloody clue what to predict.
van Basten has guaranteed Ruud a spot so we can include him. van Basten let it slip a while ago that he thinks Huntelaar will score 12 in Germany and when the kid asked if that meant he was going van Basten replied, “I would think so.” So I’ll throw him in. Then there is what van Basten said about Kuyt being able to play on the right as well as centre. But Vennegoor of Hesselink has gotten a lot of praise for being that battering ram van Basten is so keen on.
My conclusion? I think of the four centres it well be Huntelaar, van Nistelrooy and Kuyt because of his versatility. I’ve also considered that maybe van Basten will leave a left back(de Cler) at home and take the extra centre. Just an idea.
The wingers should be Robben, Castelen and van Persie. That leaves a spot for a right winger (maybe Kuyt). Like I said, I don’t know what to think.
