That's it Alaa. And Kyle, if you had the tenacity to be with us for 6 months and keep on returning, you've passed yours as well.

Jan,

What is this exam you speak of? Where do I take it and what do I have to say.

I'm sorry I've been so quiet, actually I've been quiet for almost 6 months, sigh though I've been reading most of the posts. I just don't have the flair and the info like certain characters in here do. Anyways since the Euro really starts for us tomorrow. I'll start paying attention and trying to comment more.

Hi,

this is the first time I write a comment here, but I was reading your interesting blog since 2007 before the world cup. There are a lot of information I got here about the dutch team. My summary I got here is that Dutch team is a very good team, plays a very attractive , has many talented players but sometimes they forget to score :D.

I love Holland , not only the dutch soccer team. I lived there for one year in 1987-1988 in Leidchendam near Denhaag. And also my wife studied in Leiden in 2003-2004. I was in Aachen Germany during that time, so I can go to Holland every week. The people in Holland is warmer than the German people. After my stay for 4 years in Germany, I still can't manage to not to hate the Germany soccer team hahaha. I even mad when I knew my wive bought the Germany t-shirt for my son. I think I pass for being a dutch fans hehe.

I am from Indonesia living in Bandung city near Jakarta. I called myself as a computer scientist rather than a programmer :p. I have interest to the agent-based system, it's an AI stuff. It's also interesting to know there is people also interested to agent-based system, MAS. Too bad I know it now, otherwise we can meet on the OAMAS conference last May. I was there.

Last comment, I really respect what dutch people do for maintaining our culture. I can see that when my wive studying Indonesian history. One can say Dutch people loves Indonesia more than Indonesia people. That's ironic , actually. But at least there are people having research for our history and culture and that is good. Your library in KITLV Leiden has collected many information about our history and culture that in Indonesia is not really manageable.

Alaa, ever been to Holland? I am obviously biased and all, but I never though of Holland as a pretty country... It's the weather I guess. 8 out of 10 times it's dreary, grey weather (in my memory) and the country is really really crowded. Well, the cities are. In the south, east and north is quite ok and the city of Maastricht is really pretty. Of course, Amsterdam on a spring day is magic. The girl on bikes, the Vondelpark, the museums, the canals and quaint shops... But overall, having lived there I always think Holland is pretty..lame...

But then again, most Aussies I meet who have been to Holland adore it, so...I guess it's just me :-)
