A big sorry to all of you for being less prolific… Family over from Holland, big theatre production on… Those kind of things.

Anyway, our CL finalists both snatched their titles up! Man U couldn’t be brought to make a mistake. Impressive. I really wonder if and how Barca will stop them. The Catalans will have some defensive issues and it’s really hard to break ManU down and stop them from hurting you.

Barcelona needs a very very good performance against Sir Alex’ team…

In Holland, the play offs have started and NAC beat Feyenoord (3-2). The Leon Vlemmings coached team did so well to reach the play offs in a dreadful season and now may lose their European spot after all.

The Dutch Cup Final was a classy affair between Trond Sollied’s Heerenveen and Steve McClaren’s Twente. The latter team disappointed throughout the match but kept Heerenveen at bay: 1-1 after 90 minutes and 2-2 after 120 minutes. Man of the Match Gerald Sibon (ex-Ajax and ex-PSV) scored the winning penalty: Heerenveen are the new cupholders!

And here’s a shock (well, at least to Louis van Gaal): AZ decided to make a short list for Van Gaal’s succession and Co Adriaanse was choice number one. But Co didn’t want to be pushed and suddenly Ronald Koeman is presented as the new coach. Weird, how they can pick Koeman when their preferred coach is a totally different type. Adriaanse and Van Gaal are very similar, while Koeman can’t really look back at a successful and credible coaching career. Is it maybe to spite Van Gaal??

More later!

Snowflake pocketed 6 mio for 6 months of work or something? There’s years where I don’t make that kind of money…

I do think Koeman and AZ is a mistake. I don’t trust his character. The way he handled the Ajax/Van Gaal situation showed his lack of guts. Definitely no Cruyff/Van Gaal/Adriaanse/Rijkaard.

Than his action to abandon PSV for Valencia! I mean, if it was Barca: yeah. But Valencia? “This train might never come past again” he said. Arse. That shows how insecure he is. A good coach would say: not now, dear boys. Come back some other time. Re: Van Gaal and Bayern.

Nope, I’m no Koeman fan.

Feyenoord is close to bankruptcy (technically). Negative equity, running at a loss, no funds available, old-fashioned venue etc etc.

Ajax wants Morten Olsen but the Danish federation doesn’t want to play ball Hiddink style.

Vennegoor of Hesselink would be an ideal pinchhitter for Oranje, with his length and mentality. A real understudy for Hunter doesn’t exist for now, but with the depth up front Kuyt or Van Persie could do the job.

Rumor has it that Pedrag Mejatovic leaves Real Madrid. That would be a good thing…

Our future depends on Feyenoord… Can you imagine young dutchies there: Wijnaldum, Fer, Bruins, Biseswar, Vlaar, Leerdam, Pedro, Vincken, de Guzman, Nieveld, Kobussen, Castaignos, Isoufi…..

For now, this club is more dutch than Ajax or PSV. I don’t understand why the other ducth clubs always try to buy foreign player…

I heard that all of the dutch players at Real Madrid are at risk. van der Vaart apparently has been in talks with Chelsea, while Robben feels confident that he’ll stay, and why shouldn’t he. I’m kind of hoping that van Nistelrooij decides to move back to PSV, and PSV just get some old talented guy, apparently Heurlho Gomes wants to go back. The way that team is forming up they’d have a chance at the Europa League, especially if Shaktar can win it.

-Dzsudzsak——van Nistelrooij——-Amrabat
—————-Affelay——————–
————Simons—–Mendez—————-
-Salcida—-Ooijer—–Marcellis—–Kromkamp
—————Gomes——————

looks good to me.

Ooijer confirming he is returning to PSV from Blackburn.

Probably a good decision on his part. He was increasingly becoming a bit part player due to injuries and also competition.

I can’t understand people suggesting that Ruud go back to PSV… he’s currently at the biggest club in the world, was still the best finisher in the world before his injury, and I have little doubt will still be the best finisher in the world for the next couple years once he’s fully recoverd… and people want him to go from all that back to PSV?? No way, he’s still got a few good years ahead of him before that.

I want to see van Nistelrooij back in PSV for the sake of hte eredivisie. If we start getting all our good older dutch players back, we can have a chance at some European Titles. I also want van der Sar to go back to Ajax, but I doubt that will happen.

The babel to MLS was just a sarcastic joke. His carreer has been going the wrong way the soon he may have to play MLS.

If Koeman is not suitable for AZ, then who? Because, Adriaanse has refused to join AZ. And, I don’t want Huntelaar to go to Man City. And, if VdV moves to Chelsea, I think he will compete with Deco and Ballack.

i think man city and huntelaar would be a good fit. they have tons of small skilled players they just need a ruthless finisher. he would play more often in the best ligue in the world

Deco will leave Chelsea, so V.d.Vaart could replace him
Huntelaar shouldn’t go to Man city
BTW Arsenal, Bayern Munchen join HSV and Man City in the hunt for Elia

Oranje preselection
Stekelenburg, Timmer, Ooijer, Boulahrouz, Heitinga, Mathijsen, Braafheid, Marcellis, V.d.Wiel, V.Bronckhorst, De Zeeuw, Schaars, Mendes da Silva,
De Jong, V.Bommel, Afellay, Robben, Sneijder, V.d.Vaart, Elia, Babel, V.Persie, Kuyt, Huntelaar

Well Babel should better start to improve, he should see this as a defenite hint from V.Marwijk that if he doesn’t step up, Elia will take his place. BTW I’m shocked not too see Maduro in this but Ooijer however keeps getting selected. Maduro put down a number of good performances as CB for Valencia, but I guess V.Marwijk wants him to perform well as a CB for a longer period or something like that. Also, second shock is Timmer, my god, Velthuizen is better than him by far. More personality, quicker, more athletic.
Other than that and the necessary inclusion of Gio due to Bouma’s injuries, it’s a very good squad. Better than i’ve seen under V.Basten.

And if Puyol was dutch, I wouldn’t care cause what he’s shown me this last season isn’t better than Mathijsen, Heitinga or Maduro. Ferdinand, although physically strong and good defender, he’s old, so I wouldn’t really care about him either, he’s the lesser of the Man united central defence anyway. If Vidic was Dutch, that would mean big business, it would hardly matter who you put beside him. Though to give him a true dutch name, he would probably be called Van Diets or something in that manner.

Maduro should have been selected, he deserves it.

How is Boulahrouz doing at the moment?, I hope Bert won’t try him as right back because he really sucks in that position.

I’m disappointed with the exclusion of Maduro as well…

But I am terribly disappointed with Feyenoord. The last chance to get into Europe next season… They had to beat NAC at home. They never lost at home to them in 10 seasons or so and this time they got beaten 0-4!!!!!

So, no European football. No new investors. A huge deficit and negative equity. An old venue… Feyenoord is doomed……

I’m sad.

Thomas Vermaelen appears high on Arsenal’s wishlist. The Gunners are preparing an offer.

AZ’s Dembele might move to Fiorentina.

I heard someone opted to file for bankruptcy of Feyenoord and start all over again ,but they can’t do that either since a lot of close people to the club have put most of the money into the club, and would lose it all. However they could file for bankruptcy, start clean and get funding from the investors. But besides that, make up a detailed list of the people they owe, put down a payment plan for say 10-15 years further according to urgency. That way they would be officially out of debt, so that hurdle would be gone. But the clubrelated people would get their money back eventually. It would take an army of accountants and masses of paperwork, but it might just be the only way eventually.

BTW Boulahrouz played last weeks for Stuttgart, including an 4-1 encounter with Wolfsburg and its two topscorers Dzeko and Grafite, who were kept quit throughout the game. But last game against Bayern, some very unlucky moments, including an own goal. It happens.

Real Mallorca and Deportivo laa Coruna have contacted Real Madrid to loan Royston Drenthe for next season.
