Jan Kromkamp, the Dutch squad’s likely first choice right back, looks like he is on his way out of Liverpool. That team from Merseyside are interested in another rightback from Sevilla and Kromkamp will be the one to make way. Hard cheese for Jan, given a fair shake I think he could have adapted.
Marco van Basten criticized Kromkamp’s move thinking it unwise because he wouldn’t be likely to get the playing time van Basten wanted to see.
It really was too bad. I think he was over-awed by Liverpool winning the Champion’s League.
