KJ Huntelaar Poker Game

Huntelaar bored in Madrid: oops…there goes C Ronaldo again…another dive….

VfB Stuttgart hopes to be able to present Klaas Jan Huntelaar as their new striker within the next 24 hours.

The Oranje international is supposed to replace topscorer Mario Gomez in South Germany.

Last week, the club made a deal with Real Madrid and with Huntelaar, but the latter asked for some time to “think things over”.

The former Ajax striker needs some time to negotiate his step with Jorge Valdano. Huntelaar wants an exit bonus. He will have to take a pay cut at Stuttgart and since Real wants him out, he wants The Merenguez to compensate him for that.

Stuttgart has said they want to pay Huntelaar the same salaries as Real does – 3.8 million euros a year – but Hunter will need to pay much more in taxes in Germany and he wants the Spanish club to compensate that difference. He’s got the right to demand this, since Real doesn’t want to honor his contract – till 2013.

The dynamics around Huntelaar have become more intense in the last days. Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp when very far to change the goalscorer’s mind. He wants to build a team around Huntelaar. The Hunter likes to play in England, but Tottenham doesn’t play CL football, like Stuttgart will this season.

Redknapp did all he could – beg, steal and borrow – to change Klaas Jan’s mind, but it seems the attempts are futile.

Stuttgart coach Markus Babbel did take out an option on Moscow striker Love, in case Huntelaar would change his mind. But Babbel was reassured that all would work out in the end. According to Babbel, Huntelaar could become a sensation in Germany.

Chairman Staudt in the Stuttgarter Zeiting: “Goalscorers are worth a lot of money. They are special players and they require special investments. This transfer is a top transfer for us, but we were looking for a European top striker, and that’s what Klaas Jan is.”

I cannot understand why Wenger hasn’t bidded with the money left over from they Adebayor transfers. Huntelaar scores goals and plays football and would be an excellent Arsenal signing. Not to for get a potential strengthening of partnership with RVP for the Oranje.

Or even Juventus they surely needed to rejuvenate their squad, if i where them i would be chasing Huntelaar all the way so new signing Diego can have a partner to finish of his good work.

And finally Barcelona. I’m affraid to i’m one of those who doesn’t see whats so great about Ibrahimovic. His attitude is poor, he thinks more of himself than the team and he’s way over priced. Barca bid for Huntelaar and sell Eto’o? Much cheaper then paying £35 Million for Zlatan and exchanging Eto’o!!!

I think it’s weird that only Stuttgart is actually keen to sign Huntelaar. Milan need a new striker, Juve most likely to replace Trezeguet if he leaves, Arsenal need one, Manchester United could use one. And now one of the most scoring 25 year olds is up for grabs and only Tottenham, AS Roma and Stuttgart seem to be interested.

BTW Apparently Babel is impressing in pre-season for Pool.

Anything more on the Xabi / Sneijder switch?

I’d love to see Wes play for ‘Pool!

Don’t know but Sneijder and V.d.Vaart made a very good impression for Real in the last friendly. Still i think one of those will leave together with Huntelaar and Drenthe on loan, but Robben will stay.
So I think at least 3 dutch players will still be at Real next season.

I completely agree with you alex its very surprising that no “big” club is after huntelaar. But as long as he leaves real madrid its good. Hopefully in the CL he can play against arsenal or man utd and prove them wrong for not buying him.
