Huntelaar: Of course I want to stay at Real!!

Yesterday, right before the training with Oranje in the Amsterdam ArenA, Klaas Jan Huntelaar was informed about the article in the Spanish paper AS: Hunter wants to leave Real Madrid!
“Pretty weird,” the striker said with a sense of understatement. “I didn’t talk to any reporter in Spain. Let’s be clear, I do want to play more than 15 minutes per week, that’s no secret, but leaving Real?? Ridiculous!”
Bernd Schuster desperately wanted to sign the Ajax striker and forked out 27 Million Euros. The former PSV talent was just presented to the press or Schuster was sacked. Replaced by Juande Ramos. The Spanish coach allowed Hunter to play 151 minutes in seven games. The last game, against Santander, was played without Huntelaar.
“No, it’s not fun, but Real won the last seven games, so… Raul, not a bad player of course, does very well in the center striker position. So, I need to be patient and await my chance. That’s tough, but that’s how it is. I don’t want to leave Real. Of course I want to stay. And I don’t want to leave the club in the summer and I’ll never say anything like that. Even if I don’t get to play in the coming months. But I do hope I’ll get some more time…”
Huntelaar won’t be able to shine in the Champions League. Ramos preferred to use Diarra. “That was a big disappointment. Ramos wanted to use us both, but wasn’t allowed to do so. Rules are rules.”
Bert van Marwijk is very happy with Huntelaar’s performances for Oranje, who scored 10 times in 18 games. “He does think I should play more, but believe me…so do I. I want to stay within the Oranje selection.” It seems Huntelaar will need to compete with Dirk Kuyt and Robin van Persie
He doesn’t regret his move, though. “Regret, nah…. I was the skipper at Ajax and it was normal that I played. In Madrid, it’s not. Not yet, anyhow. And I do follow Ajax closely, it’s a pity they perform so badly in the last weeks, but I need to concentrate on my game in Madrid now.”

Huntelaar will get more time when the Champions League returns and he’s a much better player that this guy Higuain so sooner or later he’ll prove his worth. It’s a matter of time.
