HSV: Hands off Rafael!!
HSV has written a spicy letter to Valencia’s board and to the FIFA, stating that Rafael van der Vaart is not for sale and that Valencia is not permitted to keep on courting the player. “We won’t sell Van der Vaart. Period!”
Rafael said in an interview that he’d like to make the change and go play for Valencia. He instructed his manager Soren Lerby to talk to HSV’s management to see if they could come to an agreement. For now, Rafael will stay in Germany…

valencia is a great team and he could be the leader of them. why should he stay and waste his time in germany? he has already done quite a lot for hamburg,so he deserves to move to a better championship and far better team.
his situation reminds me that of boula one year ago…

well, if he wanted to go to Spain he should have told the club before the start of competition in Germany!
im actually very dissapointed in vdVaarts behaviour..i thought he had grown up in Hamburg but i was wrong…to actually say your injured when youre not just so you can play Cham. Leg. with Valencia and force a break with Hsv is pathetic and not worthy of a captain
it was actually on the german news yesterday (ARD), everybody is pissed at him and so am i
i hope he is forced to stay at HSV, will see and learn much about his character then
actually Boula got injured during warm-up last year when HSV played Ueafa and so got his move to Chelsea where he could then play Cham. Leg., you see , the situation is more simular than you think..
shame on vdvaart!!

i agree with goose.. unprofessional, and most importantly uncaptain like behaviour..
im pretty sure its difficult for him though, probably cant take one of those icy winters again, and the whole family issue. i can imagine his wife doing a whole lot of nagging too hehe.
nevertheless, he committed himself before now to another season at hsv… he should stick by his commitments. of course, hsv will not sell him.. if they do, they ll be battling relegation the whole season.
he should state though that after EC08 he wants to leave, move on or whatever.
In other news…………
is anyone else psyched by the 22nd of august friendly against switzerland?? or is just me?
van gol is back!! im relishing to know what the line-up will be.
