Harry Kewell: new signing for Liverpool
Liverpool-manager Rafael BenÃtez is very pleased with the recovery of attacking midfielder Harry Kewell. The Australian player will return in the Reds’ starting line-up against Cardiff City for the League Cup (with Jerrel Floyd Hasselbaink and Glenn Loovens). Kewell convinced Benitez in the match with the Liverpool reserve-players last week. “Harry is confident and fit and wants to play. His training ethos is excellent. I am so happy to have him back.”
“Talking about Harry is talking about speed, smarts, experience, scoring abilities and flexibility. It’s as if you just did a new signing…”
maybe he’s overrated but we don’t know because he’s always injured (more often than robben)

True. He might not be overrated, but he is completely useless.
He is a similar case to Robben…great talent but unfortunately he is injured all the time.
I know, Kewell is an exciting player, once he gets the ball there is always magic in the making. Sad that it doesn’t happen enough…

@olivia; why? are we not allowed to talk about anything outside dutch football?? btw; maybe hes gonna be Kuyts new roomie or Babels new tennis-mate so there is obvious a dutch interest, haha

Hi Olivia, this is not a Eredivisie blog…
. Kewell plays with (and competes for a spot with) Kuyt and Babel, I live in Oz and like Harry and the other Socceroos and we have Dutch link through Guus… All is connected
.
Are you a regular lurker? Which club do you support?

@Jan Thanks for the clarification, It’s just I can’t stand Benitez and started to get twitchy. I’ve been lurking for about 18 months going back to the days of Mike(was that his name?). I like Vitesse but in England we tend to only get highlights of the usual suspects.

Right, Mike was the original blogger. I think he moved on to do a Man United blog. Vitesse is doing well in Holland, now. Aad de Mos is an underrated coach. Keep droppin’ in, ok?
