Fears for Ruud van Nistelrooy’s knee!

November 8th, 2008 | By: Jan | 1 Comment »

Ruud van Nistelrooy won’t be playing for Real Madrid against Malaga this Saturday.

The striker is injured at his infamous right knee. An MRI scan showed that Van Gol is injured at his meniscus.

The Madrid club doesn’t want to get in action on this injury without consulting with American doctor
Richard Steadman, who operated Van Nistelrooy in 2000, when he was seriously injured at that same knee.

The prolific striker, he scored four times in six Liga games and three times in four CL matches, recently retired from Oranje.

Poor Ruud… hope it’s not too bad and he can be back playing again soon. I think Real Madrid have found his successor in Higuain (4 goals against Malaga), but there’s still no replacement for Ruud. Makes you think that the best line up for Real would leave Raul on the bench…
