Dutch titbits pt 2
Manchester United (and Edwin van der Sar) are the new Champs in England. Chelsea wasn’t able to win their match against Arsenal (1-1) partly due to the red card for Khalid Boulahrouz. The Dutch defender was given a spot in the team after not having played for Chelsea since March 17.
Ruud van Nistelrooy scored twice this weekend for Real Madrid against Sevilla (3-2) and tops the top scoring leader board in Spain. Way to go! REam Madrid is trailing just behind leader Barcelona.
Former Ajax striker Marcus Rosenberg was the big man for Werder Bremen in their win over Hertha BSC. The Swedish international scored three goals.

hi guys, hope you’re doing well:)
i have a question for anyone who have the answer, goose, jan or anyone else.
i’ve been looking for more than half an hour for the name of the dutch wing(very young) that played to arsenal last year, i am not talking about van persie guys, i am talking about a very young dutch player who played with arsenal. can you tell me his name and where is he playing right now?
thanks:)

I think part of his name is Abiye. He used to play for Ajax I guess.
Am I correct?

Indonesia

Yes you are correct, his name is Quincy Abeyie and is loaned to Sparta Moscow. He has a lot of talent.

Right. Quincy his name is. That’s how he is known in Holland. Former Ajax talent. Sent away coz he was tough to coach, hard to keep in line. Hardheaded bloke. Plays his own matches. Very very skilled. Fast. More a circus artist than an effective player. Was part of FOppe de Haan’s under21 team that won the
EC in Portugal. Indeed at Moscow

@this guy is no use to anybody…should play in a circus…remember him playing at the 21 EC, he played one brilliant game and was useless all other games…he sucks and should stay in Russia or somewhere else far away

Marco van Basten alienates Ruud van Nistelrooy - the scoring leader in arguably the best league in the world. WOW!

United States

Ruud is back at his very best…think vanBasten should go down on his knees, crawl to Madrid and beg Ruud to come back and join Oranje..it took some time but hes back at his best…an importent part is his great understanding with Gutti whos Reals captain at the moment..they seem to have some special understanding and Gutti really has had some great assists to Ruud..
heres a tube on the Real - Sevilla game (put down the sound cause its in arabic) with the 2 goals from Ruud..the one Sevilla made is not to bad btw!!

by the way is it true that sneijder is moving to valencia next year?? or it is just rumors!!

For me Ruud never was playing bad or never decreases his level of game. He some day was left out of the Manchester United line up because Ferguson the Dictator some day woke up and decided that Louis Saha, a mediocre player was the starter and Ruud went to bench. By that time Ruud van Nistelrooy was the top scorer of the Premiership. Strange, isn´t it?. Then San Marco lost his mind and benched him for the crucial game vs Portugal but that same year Ruud was the most prolific striker for Man U even though the last 10 games or more of the season he was more benched rather than given the opportunity to increase his goal tally.
After those two events the world thought Ruud was finished but I knew that was not the case and a total expert on football matters as Capello knew that too and bought van Nistelrooy. At first he has trouble adapting to “La Liga” but once he found the rythm everything returned to normal ways and it was a matter of time for me to see Ruud being the Pichichi of La Liga.
I am very happy to see Ruud having such a great year and it shows that bad choices ans mistakes always will come up and van Basten error to bench Ruud vs Portugal the stupidity of the National coach in losing the faith to a striker that lives for the important games. Ruud van Nistelrooy is and will always be a man that will play better in the important games and that is why he appeared this year vs Barcelona, vs Sevilla and he continues like that perhaps will be the man responsible for making Real Madrid returning to the very best. I wish the best for Ruud!

Ruud!
Eventhough I am the supporter of Barcelona, but I am always a fan of Ruud!
For me, it is not too important who will be the champion of La Liga. The most important thing is that Ruud must be included in the Dutch NT!

quincy isnt on loan to spartak, he is a permenant player, he was well fast and a good little player, im annoyed he has done nothin.
ferguson is a twat for letting ruud go. even though they have won the league this year i reckon they are going to struggle next year, ronaldo has to get injured some time then they will start losing haha
on huntelaar does nyone reckon he will move this season?? i wanthim in england, if anyone is a member of facebook join the group huntelaar is the next big thing, its only got 90 members need more..

Saw a dutch football program yesterday (voetbal insite with Johan Derken and vanHanegem as hosts) they went to Madrid for a special on vanNistelrooy…
many questions asked about vanBasten and Oranje and vanNistelrooy told them he still hoped he would play next years EC..he is still waiting for vanBasten to give him a call…
he talked about ‘the warmth’ that he missed while working under vanBasten…vanBasten never showed any confidence in him so after the things that happened in germany it was the one thing he needed from vanBasten but vanbasten, poor people manager as he is’ doenst understand such things (vanHanegem knew what vanNistelrooy ment)…so now the topscorer in Spain, who plays for one of the biggest clubs in the world, is waiting for the bondscoach to give him a call and he would be an Oranje soldier again…like he should be!!
Please Marco get down form your little mountain and do the right thing for Oranje and dutch football…its a disgrace!!!

Goose:
Excellent comments. Marco should do that right now. Ruud is a soldier and we need those type of players. Remember at WC 06?. San Marco never played Ruud a whole game, he substitud him every game before the 70th minute and then he said he played badly.
Instead, Fabio Capello plays Ruud the whole game and only will subtitute him if Real Madrid is winning easyly because otherwise Ruud will be playing because Capello knows with all his expertise that Ruud is player that can appear and score at any time like he did at Sevilla twice, one of those goals was when the match was almost over but with van Basten that would not happened because he started to bench Ruud after 60 minutes of play.
Anyway, if Marco van Basten wants to continue being manager of the Oranje he has no choice but to select Ruud and tell him he is the man, because if not he will be sacked before Euro 08 in a terrible way. I simply don´t care if he is sacked or resigns, I just want Oranje with the best players on the pitch and that includes van Nistelrooy, van Bommel and Seedorf too. Let´s see what happens.

@mario, well the critism is really starting to built..imagine; if it werent for Seedorfs pr offensive on tv he would still not be selected by vanBasten and even when he did he kept f#cking with Seedorf, i mean you cant treat a 4 time Cham. Leg. finalist as you do a player who only plays in the Eredivisie, he let Seedorf on the bench till 4 minutes before the end!! thats just not done..it surprises me cause vanBasten has seen it all as a player and knows that some players are just more importent than others and should be treated likewise..with respect!
The only thing vanBasten needs to do is select the best players around who have a dutch passport and make the best possible team out of that..doenst seem to be to difficult in my opinion but he keeps f#cking up…
just read an article in a newspaper, interview with Arie Haan..he said he thinks vanBasten should be sacked while there is still time to built till EC08..i agree but dont think that will happen..ill just keep repeating what i said many times before:
will qualify,
first round 08: will win a game, lose a game and draw one and
than we play in the knockout
stage and well be home after that one……
and then finally vanBasten will leave and will go back to playing golf!!!

@Car; no, he wont move to England next season, im pretty sure…but the year after that (if he keeps getting better) hell surely move and i think England would be the best option..already posted my thought on Huntelaar some days ago on another thread but ill say it again:
As a striker and header of the ball hes one of the most deadly and efficient strikers i have ever seen BUT, he doenst seem to have to much football intelect..his running without the ball isnt good and you almost never see him go one on one with the goalie..its mostly corners and strikes from within the box…still think hes the biggest striker -talent we have had in Holland for a while…would be very interesting to see how we would do in England..
