Drenthe angry at training
Real Madrid manager Bernd Schuster has left Royston Drenthe out of the selection for the big match against Valencia.
This is the second time the former Feyenoord talent doesn’t make the cut. He left the training visually upset and ignored the media.
Schuster: “He doesn’t need to answer to the media, and I don’t need to either. I only need to explain my choices to him, and that’s that. If he is angry, that is fine. He has a right to feel that way. In fact, I would be disappointed if he wasn’t.”

Drenthe should have stayed in Feyenoord for another season or two. He wasn’t playing a lot, but after the u-21 euro championships, he probably would’ve played every game. It would’ve been better for Feyenoord, and probably better for Drenthe (who as far as I know, only received one offer). He kinda acted really quickly in signing for Real Madrid, who then went out and signed another left-back in Heinze.

i agree.. oh well , now he has a more difficult mountain to climb. if he doesnt make the cut, too bad.. but if he does make the starting eleven in real, and regularly, he will definitely become a worthy and serious talent.
however. today hes still some miles away from being as good as davids.

Ofcourse Drenthe left too soon but which footballer would say no to Real?? Feyenoord was also happy to get the cash so they werent to unhappy to see a player leave (who only played a handful of games) for that kind of money
think well learn pretty quick what Drenthe is made of caracter wise..

Foppe Dehaan was right, stay at Feyenoord. He left too soon, he would have developed quicker at Feyenoord.

i think next summer he will join koeman at valencia.
