Dirk Kuyt (Awesome first name), has turned from a striker, into more of a playmaker this season, for club and country. He isn’t shooting in circumstances that he normally would have, like in the games against Toulousse, and Slovenia.

Kuyt tho playing behind the strikers can really suply some amazing assists. Also he has a tremendous workrate.

To his credit though. I have never seen more defensive pressure in any League higher then the premier league. You cant be nonchalant and take your time, you are pesstered and smashed and hit constantly. I see sometimes even int he italian league people can take their time and breath, but not in the EPL. Even the lower 3 teams are fighting for their lives.

@bman Exactly bman u r right.he is the main reason behind our loss(kuyt).
never belive him as a good striker i can finish better than him (ha ha )a below average talented player tat is the reason.now i am happy peoples where realising tat.

i guess he’s been criticized because of the rotation. rotation is important but there is no basic 11 at liverpool. Jan,i’m disagree with you on clarence – he’s not limited at all. technically he’s a perfect player. only one thing he apparently doesn’t like is running. otherways bot technically and tactically he’s the ideal player. sur,rvn and pippo have their limitations but they are world class in at least one thing – in being lethal in their area. kuijt misses this. i mean let’s compare him to babel and you obviously see the difference between them: dirk is a hardworker guy who tries but will never be a world class player missing the killing instinct and the ultimate technical skill for becoming world class player. babel has both the instinct and the technical skill.

Hmmm…. There are only so many well rounded players… Van Persie… Kaka…Messi, maybe…

Van Nistelrooy has his limitations, Inzaghi even Seedorf…

It’s how you use the different players’ skills in your concept. Kuyt was tremendously important for Feyenoord. In Oranje and apparently in Liverpool he is not.

I’ve been reading some criticism on Benitez. Does anyone of you know what that is based on?

Jan: i think kuyt”s problem is that he’s only a fighter,a brave guy with not too many technical skills. like for example van vossen. these guys did everything,they work like hell,everybody love them,but they miss the killer instinct,their talent is limited.

Yeah, that was Kuyt in Rotterdam allright. I read some rumors about Feyenoord trying to get him back, to operate next to Makaay. That would be something. But it won’t happen me thinks. It’s funny, at Feyenoord he scored profilically, he gave assists, anything he did turned into gold. Is it the level of play in the EPL that is much higher? Is it the fact that at Feyenoord everything was aimed at Kuyt? Is it just his form? Hard to say, but Kuyt is a fighter and will definitely try to get back in.

How does Torres do at Liverpool?

Bman you’re right about Kuyt. I think he is a bit hit and miss. Sometimes it seems he can’t put a foot wrong and others he can’t hit a barn door. I think it’s more inconsistency than lack of ability.

I hope Babel gets more games for Liverpool now, after scoring two in the 8-0 win (and nearly the fastest hat-trick ever in the Champions League if I remember correctly?) He is Definitely one for the future in the Premiership.
