Remind me next time to find a better way to email stuff to you Mike.

Oh on DeBoer, pessismistic at the lack of veteran leadership, where I do agree, but at the same time, it’s probobly better to have a few veterans who won’t fight amongst themselves, then alot of veterans that think they know what they are doing.

Almost everyone in NL is like De Boer, not really believing, but still keeping the door open…

What about this:

“Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has snubbed England and says Germany and Holland are the only team who can stop Brazil at the World Cup. ”

Read it on the bbc site

mmm, i can understnad where De Boer is coming from here.

De Boer is right in saying that Van Basten has done well in the job, giving younger and lesser known players such Boulahrouz and Krompkamp chances.

However if i were Dutch - which im not although im rooting 4 them as my 2nd team - I would be reasonably confident although first they have 2 get out of that group, because Serbia n the Cote D’Ivore (Ivory Coast) won’t be no pushovers.

The 1 thing that this dutch team has on the whole - minus Van Der Sar, Cocu, Van Nistelrooy, Bronkhorst is the fact that they all gell well as a team and they dont have any scars from previous tournaments so they shouldn’t have any doubts on there shoulders.

However De Boer is right in saying that against Italy their defence was abit shakey - but that was a friendly - and when it really matters i think Holland will be a very tough team to beat.

guess our portugees friend is lacking some attention, he cant be serious (especially about the germans), for the first time ever i really do believe that England have a great change this year even without Rooney.. saw their game against Jamaica, pretty impressing stuff..

eowu is right about the general feeling in Holland altough i think the expectations are well below those of 1998 (wich was a great team!!), first we need to get out of this f*ing group, than we’ll see..

still wondering about our german friends, so a lot off games of the german national team and it was always almost painful to watch..but now i get this shitty feeling, im thinking of 2002, how shitty was that team, and due to luck their first decent apponent(?) was Brasil in the final. Now they play at home, there still very crappy but you can see there starting to grow as a team.. any opinions on our german friend?? Are they really that shitty, can they go all the way??

anybody to translate this?

Rafael van der Vaart deed woensdagochtend mee met de groepstraining van het Nederlands elftal. De international kon een deel van de voorbereiding op het WK niet meemaken door een enkelblessure.

@alaa,

Rafael van der Vaart participated in group training of the dutch national team this wednesday morning. The international wasn’t able to participate in a part of the worldcup preparations due to an ankle injury,

So this is good news alaa (dont know if you’re a holland supporter?)!! I read on a dutch website today that Gio and Cocu are training as well but apart from the group.Sorry for my english,
greetz

alaa,

good to hear we got supporters all over the world, if you need any translation done just post..

think you’re right about Sneijder and vanderVaart, i to was very worried but its looks ok now,
made a mistake in my previous post, Gio and kew Jaliens trained also with the group, Sneijder and Cocu trained but sepertly(?), so they are all walking!!
Think they are importent cause we need good idears comming from midfield to our attack wich is in my opinion the best and strongest part of the team.

i agree with you man, the midfield is the most important line in the team, you know holland had always the best midfielders in 1998 we had “aron winter, davids ,wim yong, cocu, seedorf, ronald de boer” that was a tremendous midfield, but i think this time if sneijder, van der vaart and cocu play together the midfield will be fine, and man this year i love our attack, van persie robbenand van nistelrooy, i love it:)
