David Beckham wants Ruud Gullit
Why not? Tom & Katie, Brad & Angelina, David & Posh and Ruud & Estelle
Ruud is candidate to become coach of Los Angeles Galaxy. The former Feyenoord, PSV and AC Milan star is currently in LA for negotiations, according to Sky Sports. Beckham’s club has a three tear contract in place for the former Oranje leader. The last club Gullit worked for as a coach was Feyenoord, where he failed miserably.
Gullit is supposed to replace Frank Yallop. As a coach, Gullit won the FA Cup with Chelsea and reached the FA Cup finals with Newcastle United.

I don’t think Gullit would be able to adjust from European to North American football. He doesn’t have wat it takes to be a coach, much like one of his colleagues from the 80’s.

Yeah, it’s the old boys network for ya. Becks apparently trusts Gullit and wants him, to keep him out of the wind, so to speak. Gullit will fit right in, in Beverly Hills, with Estelle. It’s his thing. Being the prima donna, smiling at the camera’s, attending parties and premieres. If he’s smart he takes a good staff with him (Henk ten Cate, Jan Wouters and John van ‘t Schip -:) ).
Maybe Marco is keen?

Gullit seems to be a charming interesting guy – and a lousy coach.
Long record of not much. And the comparison is obvious.
What’s fascinating is the difference between Gullit and Rijkaard. Rijkaard was also the charming dude who blew the clutch coaching in Euro 2000. But he learned. At Barca it appears that he thinks hard about subs and keeping the group going.
But Gullit and Van B – just don’t appear to learn.
Oh well.
