Cocu still training separately

June 8th, 2006 | By: Jan | 3 Comments »

The Thursday training in Freiburg started without Sneijder and Cocu. Cocu isn’t training at all, but receives special care by the medical staff. Sneijder has a personalised program. Van de Vaart is training with the group. Funny, but somehow I feel that this “resting” period for Cocu could work out for the better. I remember players like Cruyff and van Hanegem taking time out when they got a bit older… I feel Cocu will be chasing the ball come Sunday like a young puppy…

what does the following mean?

Cocu and Sneijder didn’t train with the group on Thursday. Both are recovering from injuries from the Australia game. Sneijder expects to be able to train with the group on Friday. It sort of says what I posted…
