CL quarter finals, day 2… My 2cents

I was looking forward to a big match this morning (at 4.30, if you were wondering…) between Porto and Man United. But it was a bit of a disappointment. Man United scored a fast goal (and what a goal it was! Was it 45 meters?) and killed the game off. Manchester didn’t want to, really. And Porto simply couldn’t.

It seems like playing away is much easier for some teams than playing at home. But you have to hand it to the Red Devils, they can win games without playing great. Remember last year’s semi-finals? They ended up winning the cup, right?

I did enjoy Ryan Giggs again, though. The guy’s a legend and so is his left foot.

The Arsenal – Villareal game was more exciting. Flashes of the great Gunner football show. Fabregas getting back in form, Walcott played a tremendous first half and Van Persie may not have been extremely dominant but he was crucial in the victory over a subdued and complacent Villareal.

Chelsea-Barca and ManUnited – Arsenal. I expected Porto to come on top, but hey…we all make mistakes.

I think those two semis can go any which way.

Is it possible for Barca to have an off day? Don’t they have a somewhat vulnerable back four? Does Chelsea really want it, this time around? Can Arsenal up their game even more? Is Manchester United looking a tad rusty at the end of this gruesome season?

We’ll know soon…

I think so too. I think Arsenal has a fair chance. If ManU has the form of the day, they can beat any team. If they don’t, any team can beat them. Well, not any team…but Arsenal could.

Exciting times ahead. Ajax – PSV and Feyenoord – Twente. FA Cup semis. CL semis. Darn it!

Just read that Babel is set to leave Liverpool. Good Move! He is not getting the time on the field he needs and he doesn’t fit in with Kuyt stuck on the right and Riera on the Left. Wonder who the takers will be ?

Good move for Babel I really hope he moves away from Liverpool because he could be an important club for any other team.
