CL Preview
Hi all… with Easter behind us and a massive agenda for yours truly I’ll only do some short current news stuff. I’ve got some pre-cooked articles coming along for you to enjoy.
Well, in the Eredivisie Feyenoord finally unleashed secret weapon Roy Makaay, who scored a hattrick against Heracles (5-1), with Wijnaldum the Man of the Match. Ajax did it even better, beating Groenendijk coaches Willem II 7-0. Hattrick for Suarez. Twente won, PSV won so things are getting tighter and more exciting. Feyenoord could even help their Amsterdam “friends” by beating Twente next week!
In Europe, everyone seems to think Chelsea is already in the semis for the CL. I don’t. Chelsea conceded three goals against Bolton in 12 minutes or so… Liverpool’s game plan will be: score three goals! With Torres in fine form and Gerrard back, it could happen. And even if Hiddinski’s men score the first goal, it won’t change a thing for Benitez’ Boys. Exciting match, I hope.
Bayern doesn’t have a hope, in my humble opinion. But then again, stranger things have happened and some of them are Germans, right?
Porto might punish Man United this leg but Arsenal will probably make it allright.
Your ideas?

Bayern played stupid, lazy, lauzy football against barca in the first half of the first leg they dont deserve to be in semifinal. So Barca the the no one semifinalist.
Manchester have to sweat against porto but anything is possible but porto has some slight advantage.so FC porto number Two(For the sake of arsenal)
Chelsea dont have to worry coz hiddinski is MR SEMIFINALIST,lIVERPOOL going to suck alex for torres and essien for gerrad.so liverpooll will become impotent.so chelsea the third team.
arsenal having slight edge over villareal but arsenal is highly inconsistant and yellow submarine has some hope in that. But i wish arsenal will win.

Tju: villareal have no chance because their 2 best players (cazorla and senna) are injured and their bench is not long enough. actually i really hope that after this cl we will still call hiddink mr semifinalist;-) pool are capable of doing well at stamford but i don’t think they will qualify. bayern-barca will be something like 1-1 or 2-2. the most exciting game might be porto versus mu. if porto don’t play the 0-0 they will have their chance to go through. but if they are stupid and play the 0-0 with their more than vulnerable defence they will be eliominated. i would say: arsenal, porto (my heart and not my brain says that),chelsea, barca.
great news for makaay. strange thing that he was always a kind of stranger at oranje. one of the best strikers of the world but didn’t fit to our system. these days we had kluivert, rvn, makaay, van hoijdonk, hasselbaink etc. what’s going on with patrick kluivert (one of my all time favourite dutch players)? is he still learning the coach job?

@Ferenec i am afraid of Arsenals inconsistancy and not about the strenght of villareal.if Manchester enters into semi ,arsenal will be knocked out in the semis. So we can see Thrilling final Barca Vs Manu.My brain says this final and but i wish barca Vs arsnal and Arsenal win the final.
b/w maccays strike rate in orange was 1/339minutes with a superb Generation.Once in a blue moon Maccay can score hattric,i dont care about him,Only the thing is he is better finisher than kuyt.but in all the other aspects kuyt is too far above him.So my option kuyt over Maccay

@Tiju: Don’t worry my friend, I’m still here, but have had little time to post as I have been rather busy with non-football related items which is a real shame.
Just give me a chance to watch Kuyt produce a hattrick today and put Liverpool through, and you will hear from me again in a big way

News from Madrid: Ruud van Gol declared himself recovered from his knee injury. “I think I can train with the group next month. I feel strong and very confident. I realize I will have to wait till next season to actually play but the idea of kicking a ball again excites me. I am 100% motivated and eager.”
And Bernd Schuster in an interview: “Calderon never listened to my wishes. He was only focused on signing C Ronaldo. The players I requested were never signed: Fabregas, Alves or David Villa. When Robinho and Baptista left, we really needed to do something. Rafael van der Vaart was a stopgap.”

I predict:
Chelsea win
Man U win
Arsenal win
Barca win
History has shown, that, whoever I think will win (not necessarily who I WANT to win), usually doesn’t. so good news for Porto, Villareal, Bayern, and Liverpool fans!

what a game was this chelsea-liverpool..

totally agree. I thought liverpool were gonna do the impossible at one point. But agin it was about time that chelsea beat liverpool after 3 years straight.. Arsenal barcelona would be an insane game to watch. Both teams play extremely offensive with one touch on the ground play. Its high paced.. i really cant wait to see such a game. Mind you the style of play of both barca and arsenal is very dutch :p and i hear some transfer news that juventus are interested in van der weil. I hope to god that ajax will keep all their good players. ImO assiati will be targeted soon. he seems like the new robben.
