CL day 2, leg 2… a preview…

April 15th, 2009 | By: Jan | 16 Comments »

Let’s call it here and now lads. I say: Man United is out! Porto will take them to the drycleaners!

And not only that, the blow is such that Liverpool will win the League in England. Man United stays empty handed. Porto will play counter football, textbook stuff, and Man United will lose 3-1 in Portugal!

Arsenal on the other hand, will play another demonstration game with Fabregas and Van Persie as the main characters, beating Villareal 3-0.

So, it’s going to be Porto – Arsenal. Arsenal wins that.

And Chelski – Barca and Barca will trash Hiddink’s lot. Tiju will be right. Mr Semifinals won’t become Mr Finals.

It’s Arsenal vs Barca in the finals and Arsenal will….WIN!

A total off day for Barca. The pressure will get to the Spaniards. Messi will be red-carded, Pep will be banned to the stands and Arsenal will win the Cup.

That’s my call.

Now you guys….

United will still go through – nervy 1-0 where Porto look like holding on for some time. Arse will probably make it despite a crap defence. Then Hiddink will expose Barca’s defensive frailties, Arsene’s young guns will still be too young and it’ll be a toss up between United and Chelsea in the final, just like last year.

I hope that Chelsea will win this year, against Arsenal in the final.

No way to call United-Chelsea for me – would no doubt go to the wire. Guus is a better manager than Grant though, so maybe that would tip it in Chelsea’s favour.

I think Man United win with berbatov coming back being the diffrence. Arsenal win but not 3-0. Chelsea beats Barcelona through Drogba (hate him but he is good) because puyol pique arent up to his standards. Arsenal comes through against united because they get one maybe two away goals.
Arsenal beets Chelsea in the final. Probably Van Persie and Adebyaor score and Chelsea gets a useless goal from Lampard.

BALLACK IS STILL THE WORLDS BIGGEST LOSER!!

As much as I expect a Barcelona Man U final, the only team left that I actually want to see win is Arsenal.

Ha ! getting result predictions is clever – you guys got SCORE predictions right too thats telepathic. My Chelski Pool prediction was 2-2. What a game that was, really fantastic for football fans and Alex’s “screamer” reminded me of Roberto Carlos or even Eder. I really thought on 3 occasions that Pool was going to do it.
Great that Arsenal are thru – not a ManU fan even less Ronlado but hey another “screamer” of a goal !!

Yeah, the crystal ball got some new batteries and there we go :-) .

Ronaldo’s goal… I wonder whether the goalie should feel guilty…

Arsenal played great at times, Fabregas close to his old form.

mu-porto was a boring game,mu killed football, they played old italian catenaccio style. arsenal-mu: i would say arsenal. barca-chelsea will be the real final, the 2 best teams. on paper, barca are better, and chelsea’s defence is more than shaky. they won’t have ashley cole in the first leg. 60-40 for barca. in the final,if barca-arsenal will be the final, arsenal won’t have any chance against barca. sorry guys,i respect and like arsenal a lot,but the reality is,that the difference between barca and arsenal is as big as between barca and bayern. the blues are the catalan’s only real opponents.

Don’t rule out Man United Ferenc… They can play destructive football and still win! If Arsenal cops it against ManU, it will be a tremendous finals.
