Champions League Quarter Finals!!

Only two more nights (for me in Oz, that is) and we can set our alarm clock at 4.00 am (yes my friends, this is the type of sacrifice I go through for you….)…
And we get some good CL action.
Arsene Wenger called his old buddy Robert Pires, who plays his football at Villareal these days, after a number of seasons at Arsenal. Pires: “Arsenal is still in my heart, but I’m ready to take them on. I want Villareal to go through this time.” Yeah, right…
Villareal wants to take revenge on Arsenal, after the Gunners beat them in the 2007 semis. Arsenal went on to play Barcelona in the finals in Paris. And lost.
Man United is also looking for revenge. They play FC Porto and that was the opponent that beat Sir Alex’ team in 2004 to go on and win the trophee. One Jose Mourinho made a name for himself in that campaign.
Mark van Bommel has mixed feelings about meeting his old mates of Barcelona in the quarter finals. “It’s going to be a special game for me, but we couldn’t have drawn a tougher opponent. I’m happy that our coach and our manager are thrilled to play Barca, but I’d rather met them in the finals.”
The Dutch fans got to vote their fave team to win the Cup with the Big Ears ™ and 42 % think Dirk Kuyt will lift the cup for Liverpool! Barca only got 23% of the votes.

@Tim – it’s never a bad place to talk bad about Portugal
I’m pissed off because Setanta Sports Canada isn’t showing either of the CL games live; instead they are showing rugby… wtf??
