Cautious Optimism

April 9th, 2006 | By: Mike | 1 Comment »

I stumbled upon another team summary and review for the Oranje. The writer figures that fans of the Dutch have a reason to be cautiously optimistic provided they make it through the ‘Group of Death’.

He also mentioned that, “no goalkeeper in the world is playing any better” than Van der Sar. That’s an awfully bold statement but perhaps not that far off given United’s recent form and the usual candidates for best keeper not performing up to their own lofty standards.

If the qualifiers mean something, we should be “cautiously optimistic” since we’ve struggled against the Czechs prior to last year’s qualifiers.

Main root of our problem has always been the primadonna mentality and lack of respect to the coach. I think van Basten is doing an excellent job to tackle this rooted problem of ours and who in their right mind doesn’t respect van Basten? I even dare Davids to say no.

GO ORANJE!
