Biggest Bullshitter Award for JC
Peter Wekking’s column in VI:
Real Madrid had just beaten Werder Bremen. Ruud van Nistelrooy had just scored his 50est goal in the CL and Johan Cruyff gave his state of the union: his AK 47 echoed: “Ruud van Nistelrooy is a weak football player”.
All the other inhabitants of Spain think differently about the Real Madrid striker. They call him Van Gol. He scored 62 goals for PSV, 95 in the EPL for ManU and last season he was the Spanish top scorer with 25 goals. He scored 30 times in 57 international games for Oranje and according to Johan Cruyff he is a weak player.
Now, JC is hard to follow, even with the dictionary in hand, but if you would check out the word “weak” the definition is: unable to perform, not very good. Other words that are synonymous are “inert”, “mediocre” and “under par”.
So, in the misty world according to Cruyff, the Oranje striker can’t perform. Sir Alex Ferguson paid 30 Million Euros in 2001 for an inert striker. Capello signed a mediocre player for Real Madrid and Bernd Schuster has his hopes set on an under par performing player.
JC explains: his left foot is not well developed, he has trouble sometimes controlling the ball and sometimes he moves to slow when a cross comes in.
Well, if those are the criteria, Thierry Henry is also a weak player. The French star, signed for 24 Million Euros by Barcelona (where JC is the adviser), does his utmost to walk around his weak left foot.
Ah, and Afonso Alves, the Dutch topscorer of last season with 34 goals, is also weak. Sometimes he had trouble controlling the ball. And…why does the Danish dynamite Dennis Rommedhal play for Ajax, another club advised by JC himself??
I just do not understand Cruyff… He broke down Mark van Bommel earlier on, because he sometimes let his direct opponent walk away. As any midfielder will do at least once in any given match. And what about JC’s timing?? His protege Marco van Basten has finally found a way to lure Ruud van Gol back in Oranje – struck by a bolt of wisdom I guess and San Marco decided to stop pestering Ruud with too many tasks… Marco is happy as Larry if Ruud just does what he does best: score goals!
So, exactly at the moment the Dutch team manager decided to judge the number 9 on his goals and exactly after the weekend in which Ruud saved Marco van Basten from public execution by scoring twice, JC shows his negativity towards Van Nistelrooy. And JC is adviser to the same Dutch team manager…. Do you get it?
Why didn’t the NOS producers call upon JC for a doping test, after the broadcast? Unbelievable… We know for sure who is the Biggest Bullshitter of the Nation….

1. ruud is not from ajax,
2. ruud is a real madrid player.
jc has 2 favourite clubs: barca, ajax (in this order – he’s an excellent taste). it means not being an ajax product and playing for the arch-rival clicked something in jc. maybe i’m too psychoanalytical ,but honestley these two facts might play.
i’m not agree with him because rvn is in the lign of gerd muller, paolo rossi, pipo inzaghi, and all these guys were great players. if oranje had had one striker like them we would have won the 74 and the 78 wc.

Cruyff is God, I agree… But God made mistakes!! He put the bloody talking serpent in the Garden of Eden, didn’t he? WHY???? Stupid!
Indirectly, God was responsible for that Apple shit with Eve. Not Eve. Not the serpent. The Creator created it that way. What was he thinking?? He looked at his creation and said it was good. Well, it wasn’t!!
And then that punishment he gave to the snake!!!! Thy shalt crawl on your belly till the end of time!! What kind of punishment is that for a snake, for crying out loud….
Ferenc is right, by the way…
