My sister,s marriage got fixed, thats why i was absent from blog with out internet for morethan a week.
So what we learned from england match.
1we need to play some frindlies against spain, brazil, argentina and ivorycoast
2Hetinga is a CB not RB.he never cuts the crosess and he just stands infront of the man and he easily dribles him.
3.We need quick, tall, strong central diffenders not ooigers.
4.Replacement of vanbommel in holding mid is znijder..not schaars.
5.Against trickery players our diffenders piss in their trousers.
6.Skekelen burg is a charismatic courageous leader.Prone to mistake.
7.Vander vaart became a FAART.(I LIKE THIS GUY)
8.At any cost gio should not play against good trickery attacking teams, especially in knockout rounds.
9.Mendes da silva is the ideal replacement for de jong.so if we susbstitute dejong use mendes da silva.
10.afaleey is a time wasting useless dribller.Kuyt is much better than him.
11.At this form considering babel ahead of deguzman and emmanuelson is sin.

*backflips..backflips* Wow, have only seen Oranje play live once before at EC2000 vs France in Amsterdam. And now they’re coming here!! Jan, if I secure my tickets and flights (I’m in Darwin N.T) I’d love to be part of that funky orange party!
@Carlos, “see you there” (Me quoting you)
And Tiju, if I was a rich man you’d be here for the game man. Hopefully some luck comes your way between now and then.

No offense to Australia and Australians on the blog but frankly I cannot understand why we are playing the Aussies again. Players are dirty, they tackle like there is no tomorrow (remember the last 2 times we played them, even VB was pissed especially when Guus was in charge). Look at Cahill, talented yes but so harsh. This is so dangerous for our players. Playing in Australia is going to be a bigger motivation for them so I really fear the worst.

Hopefully VdV goes to Arsenal because at Arsenal he will be guaranteed a starting spot. But at Liverpool where is a going to play. They play a 4-2-3-1 with Torres
Benayoun/Babel/Riera–Gerrard–Kuyt
Mascherano–Aquilani/Lucas
So where does he fit, instead of a player they just bought for 20 Million or on the left instead of Benayoun. So I think it would be better if he goes to Arsenal while Liverpool would be his second choice.

Why do so many dutchmen leave the netherlands and move to Australia? Whats going on in the netherlands?

@Jeff, none taken. I guess we can only hope the Aussies have matured enough to show us a free flowing game and not one marred by the sound of a constant whistle.

To answer a couple of questions !
Australia was chosen obviously because of the close cooperation between Holland and Oz. Not just the National Coach, but there are about 3 “big wigs: in Australian Football that have been recruited from Holland. The boys dont mind a trip to Australia especially since they only play ONE match on the weekend instead of 2 for the Int’l week. Football Australia also made it very clear to adopt the Dutch style of football as their blueprint.
YES Aussies play it hard – They grow up not just playing football at school but Rugby and Rules (Oz Rules). Unlike football(soccer) when you get tackled hard the LAST thing you show is that you have been hurt. It’s the opposite in Football because the slightest touch and a player goes down in a screaming heap as if his balls have been yanked off and incredibly a miraculous recovery follows that must have doctors wondering about the curing powers of water. They play no harder than Easter Europeans and are generally fair sportsmen.
As for why so many Dutchmen migrate to Australia, the weather is a BIG influence. My parents moved there as we were used to living in a warm climate as my Father was a diplomat. It was not a difficult decision. Especially in Queensland (Noosa etc) where winters are a high of 20-22C and lows of 10-11C at night. Sunshine most days it’s unbelievable !!

Well said Carlos :-) .

Fully agree on all counts.

As for me, it’s the climate, nature, the space, the strong and stable economy and the lifestyle. Italy has much good going for it, but language and political/economical climate a bit questionable. Etc etc.

Australia is like paradise with a Western culture. Doesn’t get better.

And yes, the weather… In Holland, the first thing I did when waking up – even in summer! – was check the weather… In Australia, it’s 99% blue skies, even in winter. Love it!

I think when talking about the Aussies there is also a fine line between playing dirty and being over-zealous when confronted with World class teams. As for the weather down under, just got back from QLD! Bikini clad women during the day (22C) and hotted up women during the night(7C). And it’s winter!! What’s not to like..

Yeah I just came back from AUS three weeks ago, was visiting my bro who lives in Canberra (which is boring, to be honest). Melbourne was awesome, Sydney was great, and northern Queensland was just gorgeous. Everywhere everyone is so damn laid back and friendly: completely opposite of most Randstad Dutch people…

My theory is that this is the reason most Dutch people go to AUS, since we do have a history with it, and because there people have SPACE. This is something we don’t have here at home…

Anyways, for those who have never been, it is truly a place to put on your list. I’ll definitely go back at some point for a second viewing :) .

As for playing rough, any league in Dutch football people play just as rough as the Aussies. It’s really only at the professional and very high levels where there’s a difference. There the players have learned that their legs = their income, and they protect them by being a bit dainty. I wouldn’t say the Aussies really play harder, but from experience they are just “clumsier”. I also think this has to do with Rugby, where there’s not as much attention to refinement of motorical skills as in football.

And it has to do with passion! When Guus was coach he told the boys how good Holland was and that he didn’t want to be humiliated. So, the Aussies put their heart in the equation. Holland should have bit of that :-)

Jan, you forgot another down side to Italy…terrible football!
The only part of Oz that i’ve had the chance to visit was Queensland and i can definitely see why people would want to move there.

Been several times to Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. Haven’t been up north to the barrier reef though.

But I will say this, I have never had a bad day in Australia, ever. People are just excellent, happy go lucky, friendly, welcoming, likes the odd beer (who doesn’t). I have befriended several Aussies, and they are real good people.

Maybe one day when I am tired of the rat race in New York I will move there too. I would love to. An excellent country with some very nice people, not to mention the weather again. There’s a lot of worse places in the world than Sydney, put it that way.

True… As far as cities go, Sydney is up there with the best of them.

For a Dutch bloke, to be able to walk in shorts and t-shirts ALL YEAR LONG and go to a beach on a hot day and not stumble over other people or spend hours in a traffic jam is just heaven.

From my short trip there, I was under the impression that Sydney is the most beautiful city, but the people in Melbourne are the most friendly (although people from Queensland were just absolutely awesome). But in terms of city folks. I like Melbourne most!

New York City is where I want to live most though. My other bro actually lives there and I’m extremely jealous…I imagine it could get tiresome after a while, but when you’re in your 20’s it seems like a really great place to be.
