Another Cruyff plays for Barca!!

After Johan and son Jordy, another generation of Cruyff made his way into Camp Nou.
The 16 year old grand son of the big guy made his debut last Sunday with the B-youth team.

Joshua Angoy Cruyff, who is a typical defender (!), is the son of daughter Chantal. He came onto the pitch with minutes left to go.
The team is led by Sergi Barjuan, who was part of JC’s dream team in the beginning of the 90s.
Jordi is currently 34 years old and plays for Valetta on Malta.

MALTAAAAAA! ![]()
its Valletta btw…double “l”. I think I’ve seen the kid play…Ton Caanen trained him alone for a while. He’s better than me ¬¬

i just realised something extrordinary
even if portugal does qualify for the world cup playoffs
there is a pot system based on fifa rankings
portugal is 17
meaning pot one could have russie france greece
croatia
and pot 2 would have portugal ireland C.republic and bosnia hers.
as long as portugal doesn’t draw greece they still have a good chance of elimanation

Sonneveld:
If Portugal qualifies then I will believe that miracles actually do exist!

Well Denmark plays Sweden next which will determine pretty much everything in that group. A Danish win, and they are in SA. Sweden wins, Portugal is in deep trouble.
This is a classic hate match, if there ever was any. Trust me. This will be a complete cracker. There is not much love lost there. A bit like Oranje and Belgium (when Belgium was any good).
Danes don’t play well with Swedes, and neither does Norwegians. We think they all are a pompous lot. A bit like a Scandinavian Portugal really. They don’t have many Scandinavian friends outside their own borders, put it that way.

We need portugal argentina or france not to qualify so we get in pot 1
I don’t want to be in the group of death again.
i hope huntelaar gets the nod as striker.

i hope all three don’t qualify

@sonne we cannt write off portugal ,Mathematically still they can qualify as a group winner…i hope Sweden beats denmark.so it will eradicate the chances of portugal..Remmember portugal got to play only with weak opponents like hungary and malta.i think they will win both matches..so it makes hard for sweden and denmark. So denmark should win their next game against hungary and swedn must win against albania.so it is very very complicated.so let us hope a good bye portgal sucks.
B/W Arjentine team is a bit of divers and cheaters but still i want them in SA.
hope we will get a draw with Italy,france,Japan..it may look like a death group but it makes the job easy for us…..i am damn sure we will hammer italy again…….but about france i cannt say…

I am with Tiju – dont like Maradona – but I want Argentina in the WC, just like Brazil – they belong there !

See the below stati of group1.i things are in favour of portugal.
they will play hungary in their home, next is Malta..so they willget Six.
Can sweden beat denmark in denmark..?looks odd..i dont think.i expect a draw which will help portugal more.so demark gets 19,sweden gets 16 and portugal gets 16.but portugal have a nice chance to score a dozen of goals against malta in last game.Meantime sweden will strugle against albania.so portugal will get the second place on the basis of goal difference.if denmark draws or win against hungary, they get the first spot.but if they fail, things will become more complicated.
Team——MP-W-D-L-GF–GA– Pts

Portugal–8–3-4-1-10–5—13

Despite the feelings rooted towards each other by the scandinavian countries, let’s not forget the fishy 2-2 score during euro 2004 between sweden and denmark which was then just enough so both would go through and italy would get knocked out.
I still have some faith in Hungary. If portugal only walks away with one point against hungary or less, then they can practically forget about te world cup.

It will be a cracking match. Last time they played in Copenhagen it was for the Euro qual’s, and Sweden went up 3-0 only to see the Danes come back and make it 3-3. Then the Swedes got a penalty in the 90th min, and a spectator got past security and tried to punch out the referee and only got stopped in the last second by a Danish player.
In any event match was abandoned, Sweden awarded a 3-0 victory on a default which ended any chance of Denmark qualifying.
There’s a lot of payback in this match. Hopefully I can find a stream to watch it. I don’t see Sweden getting anything here. Zlatan can only do so much by himself. The rest of the team is not up their usual standards, which would mean Denmark would qualify directly and Portugal back in with a shout unfortunately.

I still have some faith in Hungary thanks..

i really hope that portugal will be the 3rd in the group, but also scared because i cannot see sweden winning in copenhagen.
@Jeroen: i don’t think that hungary will draw against portugal in lisbon. hungarian defence is crap. actually the whole team is bad except dzsudzsak.
I’m with Carlos: don’t like maradona, but argentina should be at the wc 2010. i cannot imagine a world cup without messi… big guns should be there. all. but portugal is not a big gun.

I don’t mind the idea of a World Cup without some of the superstars.
It would be different to say the least. We would be able to see teams we would normally never see. And honestly if doesn’t qualify then they shouldn’t be at the World Cup. At the very least with the players at their disposal Argentina should be doing much better.
As for Portugal, I’ll be honest I’m still bitter about 2006 so I wouldn’t miss the Cheat (Ronaldo as he’s better known.)
